The Booksellers Association of the United Kingdom & Ireland Limited
Independent Booksellers Forum
The Independent Booksellers Forum is the BA’s independent booksellers’ group.

It exists to bring independent booksellers together across the UK, to facilitate the exchange of best practice and the sharing of ideas and experience. The IBF is open to, and FREE for, any independent bookseller within the BA..

The Independent Booksellers Forum aims to generate ideas, provide opportunities to meet with other booksellers facing the same challenges and successes, engage in independent marketing strategies and obtain useful advice on practical day-to-day issues. All IBF resources are FREE to BA independent booksellers.

Regional Bookshop Meetings
Regional Meetings in bookshops take place throughout the year, bringing booksellers together to network and socialise. A reception in the hosting bookshop is usually followed by a publisher-sponsored dinner. Details of the forthcoming regional programme can be found on our BA Events website.  Alternatively, please get in touch with Alan Staton or Naomi Gane

Independent Bookshop Week & Bookshop Fitness Programme
The Independent Booksellers Forum is the driving force behind the annual Independent Bookshop Week and the Bookshop Fitness Programme; the free, independent service that allows booksellers to measure their bookshop business and benchmark against other bookshops.

Independent Booksellers Forum Advisory Board
The Independent Booksellers Forum Advisory Board provides year-round advice to the BA and gives vital support to all Independent Booksellers Forum initiatives.
