BA Events Grant Programme
BA Events Grant Programme
As announced at London Book Fair, the BA is now launching a
BA Events Grant programme
, where BA member booksellers can apply for amounts of between £250 and £500 towards the cost of events equipment in their bookshop businesses. Events equipment can be anything physically tangible – which will represent an investment in the infrastructure of your events programme.
The BA recently published its comprehensive
Guide to Running Bookshop Events,
which aims to help booksellers by enhancing existing skills to run professional and well-organized events programmes. The Guide covers many areas, including: working with publishers, setting budgets, venue selection and building partnerships. A PDF of the Guide is available here:
https://www.booksellers.org.uk/industryinfo/BA-Guide-to-Running-Bookshop-Events-PDF.aspx
BA members can also access the same content on the
BA Learning Skills Hub
by searching under ‘Events Guide’. The BA Learning Skills Hub can be found here:
https://www.ipgskillshub.com/booksellers-association
The Grants Project is part of the BA’s campaign to support booksellers in the events area, and to ensure that bookshops have the equipment they need to put on accessible, comfortable and rewarding events, continuing our previous work with diversity and sustainability grants.
How to apply
Booksellers can apply in the first instance by emailing
[email protected]
with '
