The Booksellers Association of the United Kingdom & Ireland Limited
World Book Day is an annual celebration of books and reading by the Booksellers Association and the Publishers Association. This event involves giving a specially-produced £1 token to school children throughout the UK to encourage them to discover the delights of their local bookshop. Since 1998, over 14 million school children each year have received special £1 tokens that they can take into bookshops to exchange for either a specially-commissioned £1 token or redeem against a full-price purchase.

World Book Day 2018 will take place Thursday 1st March.
