In 2018, the BA funded a year-long membership of retailTRUST as a pilot for independent BA members and their staff. The pilot was so well-received by members, that it has been continued as an ongoing service, to pffer ongoing wellbeing support to booksellers and their families.

The retailTRUST is a charity set up to help all those in the retail industry and their wellbeing service is called retailHUB.  It offers free, confidential and impartial wellbeing services to bookselling staff.

We can send members a poster and wallet card to share with staff or to put up in the staffroom, listing the number to call for the helpline. Other wellbeing resources are available on the retailTRUST website.

Booksellers employed by independent bookshops in BA membership can use the retailHUB services straight away, with no need to register.
