Hosted Bookseller Programme
For the last 4 years the BA and LBF have run a hosted bookseller programme which has enabled over 150 booksellers attend the Fair and stay overnight in London for free. We'll be running the successful programme again in 2015. BA Members who are new to the Fair, or have not attended the Fair since 2010, should apply by contacting Naomi Gane.

What the 2014 participants said:

"The hosted bookseller program was utterly fantastic. The scale of the LBF nearly left my head spinning, but the seminars and assistance offered by the BA made my every moment worthwhile, and made me feel like a VIP Bookseller in an event that is otherwise dominated by every aspect of the industry but shop-floor bookselling. I will definitely be recommending the programme to my colleagues and bookseller friends - it is definitely an opportunity with something for everyone"

"It was really helpful to get an overview of the whole industry, to see new products and meet publishers and authors. We felt really well looked after by the hosted booksellers programme. Many thanks for a well organised and enlightening experience"

London Book & Screen Week - Calling London Booksellers
Next year, London Book Fair forms part of The London Book and Screen Week (13th to 19th April), which celebrates the role of the book and the written word at the heart of creative content across all formats. It comprises a week of events, revolving around The London Book Fair.

We want to involve our London bookshop members more closely in the activity in the city during the London Book Fair period, and especially London Book & Screen Week.

Our aim for 2015 is to extend The London Book Fair beyond Olympia and spread the word about events taking place in London that are relevant to Book and Screen week and The London Book Fair. This means that we will be promoting London Bookshops to Fair visitors, and providing opportunities for London booksellers to promote themselves too.

How you can get involved....

 LBF Bookshop Crawl
The BA and The London Book Fair are creating an LBF Bookshop Crawl which will include a route map and information about London bookshops. This won’t be an organised crawl with fixed times, rather it presents a way of promoting your shop and encouraging Fair visitors to come to your shop. If you would like your shop to be included in the ‘crawl’ please let us know.

London Literary Walk
The BA’s own Sydney Davies will be running a Literary Walk during LBSW – you can promote this walk to your customers, or you can come along yourself.  The Walk will be promoted to London Book Fair visitors.

Promote your Events
Promote any existing events (from author signings and reading groups to screenings and parties) or organise new events to celebrate London Book and Screen Week.
If you would like your events featured on the London Book and Screen website then please let us know. (Please note we can only promote the events that are taking part during that week (13th to 19th April)

London Book Fair and Screen Week POS
We are producing special London Book and Screen Week posters for bookshops wishing to take part. If you would like to order a poster please contact Naomi

There are many ways in which London bookshops can be involved in the Book and Screen week. If you’d like to be kept informed of the plans then please email Naomi
