BA Irish Branch

The Irish Branch of the BA is run by a committee of Irish booksellers, and ably chaired by Bob Johnston of The Gutter Bookshop in Dublin whileMaria Dickenson of Easons, Dublin is on maternity leave.  The Irish Branch Committee meets six times a year to discuss matters of interest to the the Irish trade, including World Book Day Ireland, the Irish Branch Conference and liaison with the BA Group in London.

BA Irish Branch AGM & Dinner Dance 19th April, Dublin
Please be advised that the Bookseller’s Association of UK & Ireland Irish Branch AGM will take place at 5.30pm in the Central Hotel, Exchequer St, Dublin 2 and will last approximately one hour. The AGM includes a review of 2012/13 activities as well as Treasurer’s Report and election of Committee Members for 2013/14. We would urge all Irish BA members to attend. The AGM will be followed by our annual Dinner Dance, a great opportunity to meet booksellers and publishers from across Ireland, and to catch up on the year’s events. A cocktail reception at Lost Society will be followed by a 3 Course Dinner at award-winning Fallon & Byrne, and the evening rounds off with a bar and disco (with surprise Special Guest DJ). And all for €55 to BA members! A booking form is attached - do join us, it’s a great night.
