The BA Conference has been a significant event in the book trade calendar for over 100 years and has constantly evolved and adapted to meet the changes and challenges of the book industry. Past conferences have seen a range of speakers and authors, from Charles Handy and Richard Dawkins, to Mary Portas and Michael Parkinson. The current economic climate has thrown up tough challenges for the book trade in recent years, and the BA endeavours to adapt each year, to meet the challenges, whilst not compromising content. With time increasingly equalling money, the conference strives to pack in to one day, what would have previously been spread over a leisurely three days. The Conference programme is all about bookselling, for booksellers and others to come together to talk about the thing we all love - books.
The 2014 Event Programme is sponsored by Gardners, Nielsen, Batch and National Book Tokens. BA Events are supported by The London Book Fair and The Bookseller.
